Join us on a unique mission to a vibrant, predominately Muslim Middle Eastern city, where we’ll be hosting hockey and ice-skating day camps for kids. In a place where these sports are rarely experienced, you’ll have the chance to connect with youth in an exciting new way, sharing skills and building friendships across cultures. Team members will also be introduced to Business for Transformation (B4T) initiatives, gaining insight into how faith-based enterprises can be used to make an impact in creative access nations. 

Our team will partner with a local sports club to engage kids through sports, fostering an atmosphere of encouragement, teamwork, and fun. Along the way, participants will experience the historic beauty of our host city, learn more about the local culture, and build relationships that could become bridges to deeper conversations about faith.  

This is a family-friendly trip. Minors must be accompanied by a parent. Team members should have at least intermediate level experience in hockey and ice skating.  

Qualifications

  • Committed follower of Christ for more than two years  
  • Active in a local church/ministry for more than one year  
  • Must have reached the age of majority of your province or be accompanied by a parent
  • Citizen or resident of Canada  
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances  
  • Ability to serve into a team and vision 
  • At least intermediate experience in hockey or ice-skating  
  • Ability to handle climate and cultural differences with a teachable and gracious spirit 
  • Ability to navigate conversations about faith in a culturally sensitive and respectful way 
  • Coaching certification and experience would be an asset
