What their lives are like: The civil war began in 2014. Before the war, Yemen was the most vulnerable country in the Middle East. Now, Yemen is one of the biggest humanitarian emergencies in the world. Half the population has no clean water, and two-thirds of the population does not have enough food. Infrastructure is collapsing as the economy is shattered, and food prices are at an all-time high. Daily life in Yemen is a struggle to survive.
A Coming to Jesus Story: A Northern Yemeni came to faith after reading about Isa (Jesus) and the Hebrew scriptures referenced in the Qur’an. Thousands have downloaded the online Bible in the Northern Yemeni dialect since its January 2025 release—despite limited internet access in Yemen.
Pray for labourers: Almost all Yemeni will live and die and never encounter a follower of Jesus. Workers are needed to shine Jesus’ light in among these people for whom Christ died. This is not a hospitable place for foreigners, especially Christians. God’s call and his provision need to be sufficient to serve.
PRAY for an end to the civil war and all the underlying issues causing the strife.
PRAY those who have downloaded digital Bibles will read and be transformed by God’s Word and Spirit.
PRAY for bold faith for Christians to respond to the need for justice and grace in Yemen.
