For our Global Workers in the Middle East, there is much to celebrate as 15 people recently took the significant step of baptism, publicly declaring their faith in Jesus. They ranged in age from just nine to 90, including two sisters who survived the Holocaust and joyfully dedicated their lives to the Lord.
Each person has a unique story of God at work. One new believer is already serving on the worship team, while another followed his wife and son in baptism. Families and friends also gathered to witness the baptisms, many seeing one for the first time.
PRAY for these 15 new believers, that they will grow strong in their faith, deepen in their love for Jesus, and boldly live out their commitment to Him.
PRAY for their families, that their testimonies will draw spouses, children, relatives, and friends toward Jesus. Pray especially for restoration of one of the baptized person’s marriage and for another’s brother who has been held as a POW in Russia for four years.
PRAY for ministry leaders across Eurasia, who these Global Workers give leadership to, particularly those gathering for the Teen Challenge Eurasia conference in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with leaders from 12 countries. Pray also for Maxut, Director of Teen Challenge Kazakhstan, as he recovers following a massive heart attack.
