The Banmanus are an indigenous people living primarily in the forested regions of northern India. With a population of approximately 28,000, their lives have traditionally been closely connected to the forest through hunting, gathering and small-scale agriculture.
Today, the Banmanus are considered an unreached and unengaged people group. Joshua Project estimates that fewer than 0.1% are Christian, with Hinduism and traditional spiritual practices shaping their communities.
May the day come when the Banmanus are among those worshipping Jesus from every nation, tribe, people and language.
