This is why our friends pastor Ivan & Shelia are planting an impactful extension of their thriving church into New Town - to reach the expanding population and see lives and communities transformed be the power of the Gospel.

Praying For New Town
PRAY for the work in Kolkata to continue:
Pray Ephesians 3:20 over this ministry—that God would do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, just as He did through the Buntains. Ask that the legacy of faith, compassion, and Gospel witness in Kolkata would continue to grow, reaching new generations with both practical care and the love of Jesus.
PRAY for the Gospel to take root:
Pray Colossians 4:3—that God would open a door for the message of Christ in New Town, Kolkata. Ask that hearts would be open, that the growing church would be strengthened, and that many would come to know Jesus in a place where there is little Christian presence.
PRAY for God to make a way:
Pray Philippians 4:19—that God would supply every need for the New Town Worship and Education Centre. Ask Him to stir generosity, provide resources, and bring this vision to life so that lives can be transformed through education, training, and the Gospel.

In the 1950's missionaries from Canada, Mark and Huldah Buntain, arrived in India. What began as a temporary assignment turned into 35 years of ministry serving millions through a hospital, churches, schools, and feeding programs. An incredible demonstration of faithfulness to God's mission.
Today, their legacy lives on in the thriving Assembly of God Church Kolkata under the leadership of Ivan & Shelia Satyavrata, who honour this legacy by breaking new ground in New Town with a worship and education centre.
