I have been on eight short-term mission trips. In partnership with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the African Islands of São Tomé e Príncipe, I have developed a music and worship training school to equip church leaders for the past eight years. With every trip, I bring a team to lead worship, run workshops, teach music, and participate in local outreach events. With every visit, I also bring gear for the local churches--musical instruments and sound equipment-- with the hope that every item will be used to bring the gospel through outreach events. One of the exciting outputs of this missionary work is the recording and production of music by the local worship leaders that have been trained. Every song is written and performed by them. These recordings, filled with the Gospel message, are then distributed throughout the islands through CD's and radio. I plan to begin teaching music classes in the local schools to children, too. Every year, I take two weeks vacation from my work to accomplish this dream: seeing the islands of Sao Tomé e Príncipe reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I have been a worship leader for over 25 years and served in full-time ministry from 1995 through 2005 as a pastor. For the past 15 years, I have served the Quebec district of the PAOC by leading worship and preaching in churches that need assistance. I currently work full time as a property manager and volunteers on the worship team at Trinity Church with my wife Ana. I also started a monthly Portuguese service under the ministry of Trinity Church to reach the Portuguese population in the area.
