With a population of over 33 million, Peru is a country in need of the gospel with only 14% of the population considered to be evangelical. Moreover, the country has witnessed an increase of poverty with more than 25% of the population struggling to provide basic necessities for their families.
I, along with the help of my wife Ruth, work primarily with the children and youth at a church plant in the village of Pucusana, in the Pucusana region. Situated in an almost desert region, the village faces significant economic, social, and spiritual challenges.
Together with our mother church Emanuel Church (located in the capital of Lima), we engage in evangelistic outreaches and have witnessed over 250 children attend our events at one time, along with their parents. As a result, we have seen many come to Christ!
Additionally, since my wife is a dentist, we run dental clinics, while providing food, clothing, and other types of medical care. A major highlight for us is our annual Christmas outreach where we share the Christmas story and bless many children with Christmas gifts.
I felt called to missions at the young age of six. Having been in ministry since 1997, I was ordained by the PAOC in 2007. I ministered in Canada, United States, Guatemala, and Ecuador. In 2000, I felt God’s call to Peru. In 2010, I met and married my wife Ruth, a Peruvian dentist; and in 2016, we welcomed our precious daughter Andrea to the world. God has continued to bless our ministry abundantly, and with an evangelist’s heart, I am thankful to continue living out my calling.
