Ministry Focus

Within Southern Thailand, only 0.2% of the population profess to be Christian. Our city, where we minister, is a collision of three different cultures: Thai Buddhist, Chinese heritage Buddhist, and Thai Muslim. As an educational hub of Southern Thailand, many young people throughout the region come to study here.

In response to this gospel need, we seek to minister to 20,000 students on the main university campus, many of whom have never heard of the hope of Christ. I (J.) serve as a member of the Imagine Thailand lead team, in addition to managing our local Imagine Thailand location. I also teach English at the university, teaching approximately four hours of classes per day.

Both of us then invite students to join our fun English activities outside the classroom in conjunction with our local partners who run a coffee shop and an English centre. We organize game nights, baking classes, art nights, English club, and badminton nights. We especially seek to share the Good News during holiday times. Our team also starts intentional spiritual conversations, in the hopes of leading interested students in personal Bible study or the Alpha course.

I (C.) serve as the Asia Region administrator and helps to organize the region’s annual retreat for our Asia global workers.
