Purpose 

Serve alongside local churches, community leaders, and Every Day Ministries Canada (EDMC) to help children, youth, and families in the Dominican Republic flourish spiritually, socially, and materially. Working in partnership with ChildCARE Plus (CCP), ERDO, and local churches, you will help strengthen communities through child sponsorship, education, youth discipleship, leadership development, and holistic community transformation. 

This long-term role combines strategic leadership with hands-on ministry. You will coordinate and strengthen ChildCARE Plus programming while helping develop vibrant children's and youth ministries that encourage discipleship, leadership, and community engagement. Serving alongside an established ministry with more than 20 years of experience, you will empower national leaders and churches to create sustainable, Christ-centred impact for future generations. A commitment of 3–5 years is preferred, with a minimum one-year commitment and the intention of long-term service. Spanish fluency is not required initially, but a willingness to learn the language and culture is essential.

Desired qualifications include:

• Leadership, administration, and project management experience
• Experience with ChildCARE Plus, child sponsorship, children's ministry, or youth ministry
• Community development experience in education, food assistance, family support, or humanitarian initiatives
• Strong organizational, financial, and reporting skills Ability to mentor, equip, and encourage local leaders and volunteers
• Experience planning outreach events, discipleship initiatives, and leadership development
• Cross-cultural ministry experience and a collaborative, servant-hearted attitude
• Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work independently while serving as part of a team
• Commitment to learning Spanish and engaging deeply with Dominican culture
• A desire to see children, youth, families, and local churches thrive through sustainable ministry and community transformation.
