HIV Orphan Care
Agape Home in Northern Thailand provides loving care for children orphaned by HIV, from newborns through young adulthood. Volunteers can meet daily needs while also sharing special gifts such as music, sports, or arts to enrich the children’s lives. Flexibility, teamwork, and cultural adaptability are essential, with a commitment of six months or longer preferred. Orientation, visa assistance, housing support, and ongoing encouragement are provided by the Agape Home team.
Purpose
We intend to care for and defend the vulnerable, including the many children orphaned due to HIV in northern Thailand. Nikki's Agape Home provides care for orphaned children – from newborn to young adulthood.
Skills
Ability to care for the daily needs of the children is required. Volunteers who are able to, share their special gifts like music, arts, sports, organize special projects etc, are especially welcome. You would be expected to work well in teams, be independent and adapt to Thai culture. Ideal candidates would commit to 6 months or longer.
Support
Apage Home long-term staff and volunteers receive a full orientation, as well as help with entry visas and arrangement for local accommodations. Ongoing emotional support and direction for daily tasks will be provided.
Our Mission Global team will walk with you along the way – from application to deployment. Training, administrative support and mission coaching will be provided, along with assistance for promotional and fundraising efforts.
